Correct method of scalp massage; treatments for dry and oily hair and
scalp.
Manicuring
Histology of nails; care of nails; artificial nails/acrylic and gel,
nail art (paints and gems.)
Hair
Cutting
Hair cutting technique (razor and scissors); for modern styling and blow
drying.
Hairstyling
Various types and formation of curls, designs, wraps and marcelling.
Perm
Waving and Chemical Hair Relaxing
Methods and treatments for normal and problem hair, heat and cold waves.
Hair
Coloring and Hair Lightening
Frosting, weaves/foils, stripping, toners, re-touches and color removing.
Dispensary
Duties, dispensing products, equipment, desk and shop management.
Scientific
Lectures and Visual Training
Sanitation, sterilization and bacteriology; cosmetic chemistry, electricity,
law and special lectures. Hygiene and physiology; anatomy of hair, skin,
nails and muscles, as pertains to cosmetology.
The
Ohio State Cosmetology Law
Complete
Course: Instruction which includes Science,
Theory, Practice, Client Consultation and Clinical
Services. The course can be completed within ten and
one half months.
Esthetician: Complete
Skin Care Course which includes Science, Theory, Practice,
Makeup, Client Consultation and Clinical Services.
Manicuring: Manicuring
Procedures, Nail Paintings, Artificial Nails (acrylic,
gel, fiberglass), Pedicures, Science, Theory, Practice,
Client Consultation & Clinical Services. (Licensed
only for the care of the nails.)
Management
Courses available for each course offered,
includes Ohio Law, Administrative Rules & Regulations
and Revised Code Governing the Practice of Cosmetology.
